The Unwanted Writings

The DP tags your poetry "inappropriate". So what are you gonna do? You can't just let your words go unsaid! So, you put it down here, at The Unwanted Writings. This is where Edgar Allen Poe, Walt Whitman, and many other famous poets would have gone, their poetry deemed "inappropriate". Maybe you're just tired of having to resubmit your poetry so many times, because it seems that no matter how much you study it and look over it, it never goes with the Holy Format.
Whatever your reason, I hope you have found the place to put your poetry where others may enjoy it.

    Rules:
(Yes, there a some rules)

1. This not the place to put hate poetry, or poetry that is way too sexualy explicit.

2. Please try not to put in poetry that has a large amount of expletives. A few are alright, just not three or four every line.

3. Put the title at the beginning and the author at the end, and try to use as the best grammar you can. Go by what others have, but other than that, there's no format.

4. Also, make sure to put your poem at the end of the page. Thanks!

Ok, I've decided to put some "polishers" up here. Polisher is a person who fixes the lower case, emboldens things, adds (') those, etc. Polishers have to be on alot, and the reasons I have their names up here is so that if they accidentally mess your poem up, you can talk to them about it and get it fixed. I'm not in need of any polishers, but who knows when I will be? Here they are, anyway:

If your poem has been messed up, just give one of us a yell!

That said, write away!

Woo i'm soo honoured to be the first person on here!

My Family Portrait

Daddy brought a gun home today
He said he wouldn't use it.
He said that mommy broke his heart
He said she abused it.
And daddy said his life is over.

Daddy and mommy gave me Ella.
Last night daddy told us we were going to take a bath
But daddy just stood there touching us.
Ella cried but daddy laughed.

Daddy took Ella to the living room.
He told her to lie down.
Daddy unzipped his pants,
Ella started to frown.
Ella screamed.

I ran to Daddy's study
And rumaged through his stuff.
I worried about what he'd say,
He hasn't hit me enough.
Daddy never smiles anymore though.

I found the gun in daddy's drawer.
It was dark and shiny and big,
But i heard Ella screaming my name so I ran.
Daddy's gun was dangerous
But it would fix everything.

Suddenly I heard Daddy shouting naughty words
That he used to call my mommy.
I ran into the room but Ella was naked.
She started crying and ran to me
But daddy had a knife.

But daddy walked towards El
Holding it in his hand.
And Ella ran towards me
But daddy still screamed his demand.
He told her to lie down but she kept going.

I didnt like the way daddy was acting.
He wasn't normally like this.
He loved me, El and mommy so much
I wanted to shoot but I'd miss.
So i took El to the kitchen.

I sat her on the worktop
And told her not to worry.
"Soon Daddy will be gone
But he's really really sorry
That he hurt you El."

I went back to Daddy.
I saw him sitting and crying.
He saw the gun I was holding
And he said he was sorry
But I knew he was lying.

I went up to Daddy and stood up tall
And so,
I whispered the words "I'm sorry Daddy
You have to go."
And Daddy fell to the ground.

Dirty Girl

Dirty girl, on the street.
To make her trip you stick out your feet.
There she goes, watch her fall,
Run away as she cracks her skull.
Naive strangers, telling me
They let her go, in death's she free.
Telling lies to pass the time,
Letting smack tell them it's fine.
Chain reaction, here we go.
The cops are coming; quick, let's go.
Every man for their own lives,
Everyone's living a lie.
Smokers watching me,
They only pretend to be free.
I hold the truth, I've got the light.
No one's all right in nobody's sight.
Dirty girl was on the street
The smokers were watching me.
To make her trip, I stuck out my feet.
I let her go, in death she's free.

Pain

You start getting tired,
struggling for breath,
The pain creeps up,
and worsens the stress.

Life deteriorates
before your eyes.
The pain creeps up,
for all your lies.

The destruction starts,
to take its toll.
The pain creeps up,
and eats your soul.

You find a gun,
pointed at your head.
The pain creeps up,
and leaves you dead.

Who

What do you see, eyes, what do you see?
Are you thinking when you are looking at me-
A chubby girl, panties all in a bunch,
The quiet kid who sits with outcasts at lunch,
Who’s the girl with whom you’d rather be friends,
When you know because of you her faith in god will soon end,
Who seems to look over the signals you send,
And forever is nothing more than a friend,
Who now has cancer because of the choices you made,
Whose glances you dodge until her face fades.
Is that what you’re thinking? Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes world,
YOU’RE NOT LOOKING AT ME!

I’ll tell you who I am, as I walk my slow pace,
As I am surrounded by people who don’t see my face:
I’m a person with feelings that are yet to be felt,
Because it seems no romantic cards have been dealt;
A twinkle of hope is still in here somewhere,
A sought after light that I treat with great care;
A time son will come when that light will go out,
A time in the near future, I hold no doubt;
At my place, now I have the bottom rung to myself,
It’s a position I relish, but it’s my own little shelf,
A veteran at irony, a master of desire,
I hope that my twinkle will one day be fire.

That Instant

As I wait to cross the street
I see the “walk” sign blink.

Although I've heard of drunk-driver deaths
I still don't stop to think.

I take some steps into the street
And hear a sudden screech.

Next thing I know I'm stuck to steel
Like some blood-sucking leech.

In that instant I didn't stop to think
About the horrid consequences of taking just one drink.

Then my life flashed before my eyes
In just one sudden thought.

All the moments good and bad
That every day had brought.

I hear paramedics saying
Prayers under their breath.

But that Instant of carelessness
Brought me to my death.

I Did

Went to a party
heres what they said
have a drink
just one drink
so i did

started dancing
drinking hard
someone passed me a pill
told me to take it
so i did

loopied up
having fun
saw the bowl
they said hit it once
so i did

a few more hits
a ton more drinks
i saw the line
they said snort it
so i did

trippin hard
seeing stars
saw the boy
he said come to my car
so i did

sweaty bodies
empty minds
the condom tore
he said dont care
so i didn't

nine months later
can't see my feet
swelled so big
im paying the price
for what i did

took the gun
wrote the note
but it to my head
blew the hole
now im dead

The other side

A bully once came up to me
Came up to me and said

"Give me all your lunch money,
Or I'll lodge my fist inside your head"

In shock and awe and horrendous fear
I forked over all my cash

I couldn't help but ask myself
 "why was he so harsh?"

Now I stand, just right here
 Down an empty hall

With someone's colloar in my fist,
And his back against the wall

One side tells me to beat him up
 Because that's half the fun

But the other side screams
"drop him! Just drop the kid and run!"

SO quickly I make a simple choice,
As I lower him to the ground

I let him go and watch him run
Because a new path I have found

Untitled

Wherefore art thou, oh my love?
No one knows.
Except to say thou aren't at home.
I gasp then run;
'Tis as I feared;
Thou hadst spoken of thy death as it neared.
I run; I stumble, I trip and fall,
But knowing i must get to thee above all
Driveth me onward, maketh me take
Desperate measures to follow in thy wake.
I know where to find thee,
Thou explained it quite clear,
How to get from here to there.
And so I ran, with heart beating,
Legs flying, I ran to the place i knew thou i would'st find.
And find thee I did: thy silent deed was done:
Thou layest quite cold in a puddle of blood.
I threw myself down, pulled thee into my arms,
Crying and sobbing and kissing thee hard.
But nothing happened, twas all for naught:
Thy beautiful soul, Death's minions had caught.
I looked down at mine body, covered with thy own life,
Inspired by thought, I searched for the knife
That had stabbed my love's heart.
I clutched it, then whispered, "I come where thou art."
So saying, I plunged the knife deep.
A moment of pain, then I fell in a heap.
The last moments of my life, my end of the race,
But it was soon over and I was greeted by thy face.

Broken Mirror

I look into my mirror
And she stares back at me.
Long we glare at one another;
No end is close to see.

Who's eyes within this face are set?
Who's hair of golden hue?
Who's tears are these that stream
From eyes of darkest blue?

Who's face is this, so very sad?
Who's eyes with shadows wrought?
Who's brows now crease together
With every weary thought?

I smile at this stranger,
Conjured from out my mind.
To my surprise, she smiles back;
At least she has the time.

I laugh aloud, and so does she,
'Tis like we're both the same,
Soon I find myself wondering
'Does she maybe have a name?'

We start off simply looking,
And then we get to talking,
Soon, we do it everyday;
I before the mirror stalking.

I stare into the mirror;
But not her face I see:
Instead, there is a demon there,
Reaching out for me.

I try to run away,
But the demon from the mirror
Follows, grabbing for me,
Its hands are getting nearer.

I get a close up view of it,
And to my horror find
The face it wears upon its head
Is nothing less than mine!

Terrified beyond all words,
I look, and pray to find
Something with which to break
The mirror, left behind.

A book, it is my saviour!
I throw it at the glass,
The demon- now it shatters,
Upon the lively-hood of my past.

I fall with it to the floor,
I share this demon's pain.
Horrified, I realize
All my efforts were in vain:

The mirror held the image
Of what I had become.-
My mind now oh so broken-
My body begins to numb.

I stare blindly at the mirror,
Now shattered on the floor,
Millions of tiny images
Of what is never more.

Peace

I stare into the mirror
Eyes of deep brown look back
Shadows pain in blood all behinde them
Like glass holding in an ocean
Of crimsion red and blue
No one knows what I've seen no not even you
I've told all my secrets and then a little more
But still you dont know what lies behinde the door
The door that leads into me
Like a rotten apple core
Slowly ripping apart my insides
Making me all torn
Cries and sobs escape me
In the darkest night
I think that I'm Alright
But we all know im not
Im destrought with thoughts of death
Losing my last breath
Horror pain and murder are in my little world
Twist and turning mixing together in a whirl
No one knows whats happening in my little mind
No one trys to find out by being oh so kind
As to cut open my head
Lay upon my corpse
Kill me on the bed
See the crimson blood ive shed
And whisper sweet words into my ear
Kiss away the tears from blank eyes staring
No one even caring
That as you pleasure your self
I'm already dead
On the inside no one sees
That im not who you think
I'm gone from this world
My body begans to stink
Try to wash me clean in your perfect porcelain sink
But my Hands wont wash clean of this blood
That you lowered on me
From a knife so keen to your senses
No one even saw
The terror in my eyes
But its ok
Because soon youll be found
And my body rest in peace

Imagine

Every morning I am thanking my stars
Feel so lucky having you in my arms
Wouldn't be the same without you, babe
There's not a thing about you I would change
I'm incomplete when you're far away
And when you're here, you make me whole again
At first I really didn't trust it or believe it
I foud someone who will make me say this and mean it.

Couldn't imagine life without you,
I want to wrap my arms around you
You're like a miracle in the month of March
I just want to kiss your face.

Sometimes I have to stop and stare
Might even run my fingers through your hair
Just to see that this is not a dream
I've got to see you smiling back at me
And I'm okay as long as you're okay
Don't have to ask, I know you feel the same
At first I really didn't trust it or believe it
I found someone who could make me say this and mean it.

Tribute to our Armed Forces

From Pearl Harbor
To Iraq

On us they
Haven't turned their back.

Fighting all night
And fighting all day

Struggling under fire
To keep hostiles at bay.

Fighting for freedom
to uphold all our rights.

Yet when they come home
They hide from "The Lights".

They don't ask for fortune
And they don't ask for fame

Because while they're out there
They all share the same name.

So this is my tribute
For Honor's the call

For the men and women
Who ask for nothing at all.
